Ink on Paper
I created this print to portray a quiet picture of myself. I wanted to use a darker, quieter color, because I didn't want the picture to attract attention. I wanted to show that I can be quiet, but not upset, or angry. Being quiet, and alone, is something that I don't mind every once in a while, but people sometimes think that it is weird. Just because I don't need someone to entertain me doesn't mean that I'm weird or a loser.
While creating this print, I was having some trouble keeping the paint consistent, and getting a consistent print. The paper was sticking to the screen and this was leaving a large swirl of color that was inconsistent with the rest of the print. So I tried again, but the second time I used more spray adhesive to ensure that the paper would not stick to the screen. It worked, and my prints turned out perfectly
