Crazy Politics
Stamp Print on Index Paper
For our first project, we used the idea of Excuiset Corpse to determine but our stamps would be like. We each started out with a clean stamp, then passed it around the table. Each person was able to make a single mark on the stamp, then they would pass it to the next person. When we got our original stamps back they had gone from nothing to something with everybody pitching in. We then had the opportunity to stamp our designs in multiple ways. I chose to do a random mix with multiple colors to demonstrate how I felt about politics. We all had a say in what the stamp was going to look like, but I had the final call. I could do what I wanted with the stamp once it was finished. I feel the same way about politics. Everybody gets to have their own opinion about who should be elected, but once that person is elected they get to call the shots. I'm really happy how this first print turned out, and I was happy that my whole class was able to be involved with it.
