This picture was taken on my deck outside. I thought that this was a good way to capture the flower, because the background was plain. The only way I could do this was by using shallow depth-of-field. I'm also glad that I didn't shoot the flower in the center. I think that added to the value of the photograph. I'm really glad about the way it turned out, because there is a good range of tonal value.
