Inkjet Print on Paper
The CD jewel case cover was designed using the reductive print we had made in class. I was able to alter mine using the "liquify" feature on Photoshop. I also added text (specifically a band name, CD name, and title tracks) on top of the scanned print to give it the look of a real punk CD. The crook in the title gave the print an off balancefeel while the band name's two colors' values helped reestablish the balance. This created a successful asymmetrical balance on the cover. On the back side, I gave the track titles a bulge which gave the print more relief and interesting to look at.
