Hammer Leaves on Paper

Printing leaves on paper was a fun experience. It was cool to be loud and express ourselves both vocally and artistically. I tried to lay my pieces of life out evenly on the paper, but angled them differently. I worked hard to make my work balanced and effective. I want to communicate that art can be anything with intention, in any form. Who would have thought smashing things was art? I now do. To do this we all worked together as a whole. Our instructor (conductor), Mr. Teslow, gave us a starting down beat and cut us off at the same time to fit our theme of bits and pieces make up a whole. The only hard part was picking out the nature we wanted for our piece. It took me awhile, longer than most, because I wanted to get some unique things. I ended with berries to be different, and that is where some of my color came from. My nature interacts with each other, and that of my classmates. This was a great project of expression.
