Reflect on Yourself
Black and White Silver Print

I took this picture my house. It was in my living room. I was half way up the stairs looking down at an angle towards this scene. Line and shape are prevalent in this picture, along with a great balance that is equaled out by the picture in the lower left that takes up more space in the photo than it does it reality. The windows along with the black bar across the top represent strong lines, majority vertical. This picture was taken just to show a different viewpoint. To me, I rarely just take the time to look at a random wall, or slow down enough to check out new angles, and viewpoints of everyday things. I think this shows the rule of thirds because nothing is depicted down the middle, and everything shows strong lines. I opened up the shutter and took a few different pictures changing the aperture (bracketing) to get the best result. I want to communicate to others that there is more to life than just a first glance, and sometimes looking at things from different angles can change the way you look at the whole. This can be a metaphor for resolving conflict too. Looking at things from different angles most of the time can resolve a misunderstanding, and make things better faster.
