This particular photograph was taken shortly after my family's Thanksgiving dinner. There is a strong and very painful tradition of having a "discussion" after our meal. The discussion often quickly escalates to a very intense argument. However, the family's tactics in proving their point vary greatly. My father will sit back and listen carefully to whomever he has decided to pick a fight with. After he has absorbed and neatly organized the comments of his opponent. After all of this, he turns the other person's words against them and basically slaughters them. I took Intensity right before my father started to speak. I wanted to capture the moment in time where he portrayed what he did best, be intense and critical. To me, this photograph captures my father's complete personality in one moment.
