La Cara

Mik's and my work was a layered piece created after three separate colors were printed. There is an original that shows the second stage, however the first stage original was misplaced as we left it on the rack to dry over the weekend and never saw it again. This was unfortunate. We mixed retardant and thinner into the inks to make them more transparent. We used different shapes to create a visually pleasing picture on the final print. The white space that remained was purposeful in order to help draw the eye to that point and help even the pictures balance. It is named La Cara because it turned out that the shapes made a face in the print.
