Transparent Time
Black and White Silver Print

I took this photograph at Lakewood Cemetery. When I found the tombstone, I was going to take a picture of it while standing right in front of the monument. When I looked through the camera lens I saw that it was giving off a reflection. I stepped to the side so I was would not in the reflection. I then took the photograph. At took the photo at a slow shutter speed so I needed to use a tripod. As the photo was being developed, I noticed the reflection of a tree on the tombstone, and another tree in the distance behind the tombstone. The tree in the distance lined up almost perfectly with the reflection of a tree. It gives the tombstone an appearance that you are looking straight through it..."transparent." I liked the sense of time created by the multiple images of the name Constantine, the transparent look of the tombstone and then being in a cemetery.
