Discubir Colores
Ink on Index Paper

We were given a task by Mr. Teslow to complete a set of prints using transparent versions of all three primary colors. My partner and I decided to make the project with a Spanish theme using a lot of red and yellow and trying to minimize the use of blue. Through this project we tried to give the viewer an upbeat feeling. If you look at the center of the print you will see a bear within a diamond, this was suppose to resemble road signs. The process was different than any other print I had made in the past. First I put the screen into the vacuum with a ruby-lithe screen in the center. The ruby-lithe burned a square into the screen. We then used transparent based primary colors onto the screen covering areas to try and achieve positive, equal or negative color dominance. Overall I felt the assignment was a great learning experience and was a very fun time.
