Lavender Heart
Screen Print on Paper
I chose to represent myself in my self-portrait with a light, lavender color purple. The color is warm and inviting, an asset I hope portrays who I am. I am surrounded by the calm color in the print, and want people to get a sense of who I am as a person through that. The necklace I am wearing I also decided to print purple. It is hard to see, but the necklace says "happiness" on it. Purple is a friendly and happy color, and it brings this out in the necklace. Also, as a way to express my bubbly personality and outgoing nature, I have my tongue out and eyes looking up to the sky. This shows how I can be crazy at times, but that I dream and always look for the good things in life. With my unique picture and calm ink color, my print has turned out to truly represent who I am.
