Ghost in the Graveyard
Black and White Silver Print

As I was taking pictures at the cemetery I was thinking about how great of a place it was to shoot depth of field with all the rows of tombstones and the rolling hills. I wanted to capture the essence of this area, without having a cold feeling of death. That is why I chose to shoot the pot with flowers, with the small tombstones in the background. However, when I developed the negatives I saw that they were very dense and hard to see. Therefore, I had to work extra hard in order to get a good, focused and meaningful picture. I really liked how this photo turned out and I hope to go back to Lakewood cemetery again soon, because it is a great place to take pictures.
