Self-Portrait
Ink on Paper
For my self-portrait print I chose to mix red and white to make a light but bright pink. For this print I decided I wanted to use a bright color, because I usually use some shade of blue, which can give the illusion of gloominess. I wanted to put a warm color beside my face in this print and I chose a bright pink to do as my background. It was hard for me to choose which part of my print should have color because the left half of my face is really dark, which meant I couldn’t color my eyes or my hair. I decided to color the background so I could outline my face. I thought pink would look good in the background because it would draw attention to the darker details of my face.
