Glass
Black and White Silver Print
I took this picture at Lakewood cemetery. What originally drew my attention to this gravestone was the pattern in the stone. I decided to make this a Sabbatier, or solarization, print because I thought the tone reversal in the gravestone would be interesting. The shadows and the gravestones and trees in the background presented good tonal reversal and the name in the gravestone behind the one in the foreground (Glass) pops out with tonal reversal. I tried a lot of different Sabbatier prints before I settled on this one. I thought it demonstrated the best tonal reversal.
