The first thing that drew my attention to this house was the face on the flowerpot that is hanging next to the front door. However, I decided to take a picture of the whole porch, and I included the side of the house as well. After I made my split test print, I debated about whether I should use a number five filter or a number two filter. I liked the contrast between the trees that appeared with the number five filter, but the porch was too light and not enough of the details were apparent. The number two filter showed all the little details and made the shadows from the trees jump out more. I chose the number two filter because I thought the shades of gray presented the whole of the picture better than the number five filter.
