Megalomania Chaos
Cellophane & Ink
This Ed Ruscha inspired print focuses on the use of alternative stencils. My original idea stemmed from the idea of Ed Ruscha's use of alternative inks. The original idea was to use Peeps that I would squish down to print, but I soon learned that the devilish little creatures would not be flat enough, but I did notice how the cellophane wrappers had unusual shapes and odd texture, so I scrapped the original idea and revamped towards the cellophane. I printed one normally; sing the cellophane to block out the screen, then a couple more times adjusting the inks viscosity, opacity, and color. Then after the prints were dry I recombined them together in a collage. For the print I focused on the basic principles of art and a combination of all the principles into one. When all the principles had been applied there was so much going on that it simply looked like chaos, but it has all the order it can.
