My Cycle of Life
Photogram: Black & White Silver Print
My Circle of Life. This photogram illustrates the interconnections and relationships that make up my life. The strings signify these relationships. Some are held stronger onto the ends than others and can be seen in the tightly held strings, while others are feeble and are represented through the wavy connections of the string. I used an embroidery stretcher and sewing thread to communicate my thoughts and ideas. The object in the center is a magnifying glass, which demonstrates how some of my relationships pare put on display and the meaning disappears, as you cannot see the strings in the inner circle.
