The Other Side of the Looking Glass
Black & White Silver Print
This photograph was creating using the Sabatier method, which produces dramatic tonal reversal. The tonal reversal yields a great sense of mystery, as if (to once again use Lewis Carroll's words) stepping 'Through the Looking Glass,' to a world where nothing is as you once remembered it. A world accessed by pool of sunlight that has become its own doorway, which melts into the floor beneath. The image is full of unanswered questions, because after all, what better way is there to end a mystery?
