This photograph is of Christina Blankenship dancing on the docks at my house. This photograph represents being guarded and not wanting to let any true feelings or emotions show. I used a filter to create a very stark contrast because the whiteness of the photograph helps you to feel the coldness of her position and the harshness of the pose she's in. Her arm is reaching into the sky for something unknown. I chose this photograph because it helps to show what dance is really about, reaching into the unknown and hoping there's something to grab on to.
