Oh How I Wish
Black and White Silver Print

As I was taking and developing this photograph, I began to discover a deeper understanding of depth of field, I learned more on how to achieve depth of field by adjusting the f-stop, and creating critical focus in the foreground, while having a blurred background. As well as discovering and understanding techniques, I had a purpose for taking the photograph. I was trying to capture the hidden beauty of even the smallest things in nature. We often overlook the fascinating qualities of this grass for instance. Where as if we take a closer look, there is much to be seen and analyzed about it. When I was developing the final print, I used a 4 filter, to create more contrast between the foreground and the background. Overall, I learned more from taking this photograph, than I ever would have otherwise.
