After Thanksgiving
Black & White Silver Print
This photograph was for the Thanksgiving photo-shoot. It shows the dishes which were pilled up from the Thanksgiving dinner. The next morning, they serve as a kind of reminder of what happened, of the family and friends who were gathered. These dishes were the only real reminder of Thanksgiving the next morning when I awoke. It reminds me of the three crucial step in having a holiday meal: the preparation of all the food, the actual eating of the food and the cleanup which comes after. Even though I usually do not like washing dishes, the day after thanksgiving, it is kind of fun. This does not apply to any other holiday, except Thanksgiving. Somehow these dishes seem to capture the essence of Thanksgiving for me unlike they do for any other occasion.
