Joyce leaned back, took of her hat. Douglas came forward, seeming more comfortable with the camera. They were an old couple. Married for many years. Vacationing on Maui. Resting under a block-wide Banyan Tree with only spots of the bright sunlight. Darkness and light. People milling about. Sounds from the wharf filtering through. They were the same but different. Leaning forward and back. Chatting and quiet. A give and take through a balanced contrast. It was just a snapshot, but it seemed to work.
