Swiss Army
Stamp Print on Paper
At the beginning of the year we each received stamps that were the same size and shape. We were able to do a series of stamp prints on one piece of paper to make an image of our choice. As I was thinking of what to do for my print I looked down and saw that I was wearing a Swiss Army t-shirt. And that is how I got the idea of making a Swiss Cross in the middle. Then on the corners of my print I wanted to surround the cross and make it so it was the center of attention. And I also wanted to use all of the colors so I used black on two of the corners and then blue and green on the other two colors. In these stamp print I wanted to make sure that the viewer's eyes go straight to the Red Cross because that is the main part of this piece of art. Overall I think that the print came out ok, I was a little impatient during some stamps and rushed it too much, and so the stamp is a little fated. But other than that I think it turned out pretty good.
