Peacock Love
Ink on Paper

When Austin, Josh and I started this print we decided to use the colors violet and yellow, which are opposites, because we saw that no one else was using purple and yellow. We wanted our punk print to stick out more than the others because that is what many people did during the punk rock times; they stud out and rebelled against the usual things during their time. So that is how we picked our first two colors. Then we picked green for our next color because we thought that green would bring out the violet and yellow. And then we chose red for our last color because it is a strong and violent color, just like the people in the punk movement. In this print we wanted to accomplish the goal of making sure that ours stood out the most, that that the viewers would have a different reaction than the rest of the prints. We wanted to make sure to give symbols of the punk movement with our colors and our shapes with the emulsion.
