Slovenly
Ink on Index Paper
In this print I used a lot of different colors. I chose colors that would be loud and stand out from each other, grabbing the viewer's eye. First, I did a rainbow roll with yellow and its complimentary color violet. Next I did a random emulsion spread on the screen and printed with split compliments. I repeated this process two times. To capture a punk essence for the print I tired to make childlike shapes. This is how I got the title for the print. Slovenly means random, and I think child behavior can be quite random. Different parts in the piece express loud, and random parts that defined the punk movement.
