Walkway

For this photo we weren't given any instruction except to take pictures outside using natural light. I took this picture in front of my house where we have two ponds. The process took quite a long time due to the fact that I wanted to get fish in the pictures so I had to wait for them to swim out into the open to capture their presence on film. The walkway that intrudes on the serenity of the pond on the right hand side displays a concept of man over nature. In this seemingly natural environment, man has established a place for them to "walk" over nature. The walkway changes the context in which one would think of a pond.
