Two Worlds
Black and White Silver Print: Photogram

This photogram was kind of thrown together at the last minute because I was satisfied with the photograms I had already made and wanted to play around with new ideas. My first step was exposing the ribbon for 4 seconds at a very light exposure before exposing the rest of the print due to the ribbon not showing up in previous prints. I then laid bath balls down on the paper in two ponytails, and covered that with glass. I put more bath balls on the glass within the region of the circles and sprinkled water on the glass. This is how I came up with the title. The outline that the water forms looks like the outlines of countries on a map. The two circles with bath balls in them are symbolic of two separate worlds within one, the one being the photogram itself. The ribbon signifies that even though the two worlds are separate and apart, they are always connected and intertwined.
