Black and White Silver Print
This is a nighttime shot of a tree and a snowman, both of which are lit up with Christmas lights. This picture was taken on infrared film, which made the lights glow and bleed out onto the surrounding blackness a little bit. The shot is obviously blurred and I managed to do this by shaking the camera while the shutter was open. Usually, this will have a very small effect because shutter speeds during daylight would require superhuman reflexes to blur like this shot. My shutter speed for this shot was very slow and allowed me to apply an extreme blur to the photograph just by shaking the camera. The pattern made by the lights shows how I moved the camera and makes the light trails a very interesting feature of this particular photograph.
