Hurricane
Ink print in Jewel Case
For this print, we were asked to first create a print that exemplified the characteristics of the punk rock movement. Then we scanned the print and the modified it in Photoshop to create a CD cover with its own band name and CD name. To begin we first made a rainbow roller print of blue and orange, and then added the split complement of each one to the opposite color, and created a pattern that would seem punk rock like, including intense and energetic. My intent for the CD was to create contrasting colors that really made the work jump out at you. I added in the hurricane because it shows how punk rock is, intense and spontaneous. All of the patterns represent puck rock as spontaneous as well.
