Patriotism
Stamp Print- Ink On Paper
For this print I used two colors that look good together, red and blue. This shows a symbol of patriotism, which I conveyed in this piece of art. This form of art was a stamp print, ink on paper. To create my design I started off with a diamond shaped print in the middle and added on upwards in the same diamond shape, alternating between red and blue. I chose this view in my print because one of my mom's friends is in Iraq so I felt that this was a good topic in which to express my print. In this piece there are the elements of color and design in it. The design is a repetitive diamond pattern, which overlap each other and create purple where they overlap. I see four diamonds that are overlapping each other in two different colors. Blue is the second from the bottom and the top diamond, and red is the bottom and second from top diamonds. Where they overlap creates a new color, purple, which offers a unique element to the piece. Your eyes can see the blue and red but when you see the purple mixed in with the red and blue, it makes the print look a lot different.
