Dark Horse Racing
Ink on T-Shirt

For this print I wanted to find something I was interested in that I could wear out in public but still express something that involved me personally. I thought for a long time and finally came to the conclusion that of my brainstormed candidates, this was the best choice. My Dads racing logo and company when he raced Formula 1 cars. So I looked at my dad's old log and made a new more refined one and typed up the Dark Horse Racing (Team Name) under the logo. After that, I thought there was something missing and thought what more could I do without making it too over done. So I did some more digging and I found a picture of my dad's car. This was the perfect addition. So it was scanned and using threshold, was turned black and white. After shifting the logo and the car to fit just the way I wanted, I went into production. Even though, the T-Shirt didn't print the image too well compared to my expectations, I know that Printmaking isn't about perfection and life will go on. It turned legible enough that this will become my fathers day present. But not the finest hour in printmaking history.
