Lacrosse God
Ink on Fabric
Through this print I was trying to show my love for a particular sport called lacrosse. I was showing one of my favorite players celebrating after a goal. This print also represents a sense of excitement in the game, by having the player celebrating it shows that lacrosse is fun and is meant for enjoyment. My goal in printing the player onto the shirt was to use a loud and abrasive color to catch the viewer's attention. Catching the viewer's attention also had to do deciding to use either positive or negative dominance. I ended up using negative dominance with blue on a white shirt. Because the shirt was white, I figured that the use of a dark color like blue would stand out because the two colors are almost completely opposite. I also decided to put the lacrosse player in the middle of the shirt. I did this because generally that is the first place the viewer would look and I felt it was the correct place to put it.
