Chaos Theory
Assembled with tooth picks, popsicle sticks, chopsticks and hot glue.

For this piece, our original idea was to build a circular base out of popsicle sticks and from that, use longer sticks to build up in a triangular formation. However, as the project continued and our imaginations further shaped our ideas, we discovered that we were limiting ourselves by thinking inside the box and not venturing away from our original idea. We then toyed with the thought of putting the sculpture on its side, rather than keeping it locked to the base and table bound. From there, we decided to create more negative space and add to our desire for a chaotic theme by randomly placing tooth picks all over the sculpture. This radical epiphany led us to add more chaotic elements to the sculpture, thus embracing our imagination and curiosity.
