Thousand Tricks
Stamp and Ink

My intention for this print was to create a sense of randomness but still have it contained inside the paper. I wanted each of the squares to touch the other ones so that they would all be joined together and create a whole. To create my print I used the stamp that we made in class and blue and red ink. To create the randomness I started with the red prints and connected them with the blue ones. I needed all of the stamp prints to connect so I had to place the red ones close together to fit the blue ones in. I think that the prints together form a squiggly line. Squiggly lines in pictures are appealing to me because I like the way that they take up space. Squiggly lines are random also and it relates back to my original intentions.
