Reflections and Parallels

In this piece I tried to draw the viewer to explore the two sides of the sidewalk. On one side there are trees, and on the other a building with reflections of traffic. I hoped this shot would help emphasize the continuing importance of nature in our modern urban lifestyles. The reflection in the window of the building on the right shows the tree pictured on the left. I chose to take a picture of this reflection because I think it makes the viewer's eyes bounce back and forth between reality and the reflection. This picture is about the contrast between nature and the city, reality and the unreal and the interconnected world we live in.
