The Park Bench

This bench represents the contrast of man and nature. The woods found in this photograph are about five trees deep, and are found in the Sculpture Garden off Kenwood Pkwy. This photograph exposes the contrast between man and nature. Man is always trying to control his surroundings, yet the forces of nature sometimes can be too strong. The snow here blocks out all visible man-made background. The bench in the foreground appears to be cold and unwelcoming. There is a sort of beauty to be found in nature, that we can seemingly not create by our own agency. This is the type of beauty I hoped to capture in the The Park Bench.
