Artist Trading Cards
As a warm-exercise in the first trimester, students designed three artist trading cards and traded artwork with their classmates!
Self Portrait Drawings
Students explored the concept of value in color and in grayscale with a realistic self portrait drawing. Charcoal and acrylic paint were used to match values and accurately describe surfaces in the drawing, and a grid process was used to emphasize proportion.
Drawing Creation Final Drawings
Digital Design and Poetry Writing
Students composed auto-biography poems and pulled symbols from the poem to create a digital design using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Emphasis was placed on visual communication, digital photography, graphic design, and criteria for a dynamic design.
