Chinese Award for Excellence
First awarded in 2008, The Blake School Chinese Award for Excellence goes to the student who has made improvements in his or her course work by consistent, hard work.

Polyglot Award
The Blake Polyglot Award, established in 2006, recognizes students exhibiting marked interest and proficiency in two or more foreign languages offered at Blake. It is awarded annually to seniors who have been approved by the department of modern & classical language.

Smith College Award for French
The Smith Club College Award for French was originally a Northrop award. It is presented annually to the student who has made improvements in his or her foreign language course work by consistent, hard work.

Spanish Award for Excellence
The Blake School Spanish Award for Excellence goes to the student who has made improvements in his or her course work by consistent, hard work.

Vergilian Award
The Vergilian Award, named after the Roman poet Publius Vergilius Maro, is awarded to a student who combines superlative academic achievement with a genuine love of ancient Roman words and culture.
