Thank you for your interest in Blake. This web site holds much information about Blake and our application process, so my words of welcome will focus briefly on the kind of school Blake is and the kind of students who are admitted and thrive here.

We seek students whose strong ability, performance and promise suggest they will thrive in the School’s challenging academic environment and who will contribute to the life of the School in a variety of areas including the arts, athletics, leadership and community service. We admit students who are excited to be engaged learners and academic risk-takers; who like to wonder and ask questions, who appreciate differences, and who will be comfortable making mistakes while pursuing a passion or exploring a talent.

Blake’s outstanding faculty members, who are deeply committed and passionately involved in the learning of their students, bring an average of 18 years of experience to their work in the classroom, the playing field, the stage and the art studio. Learn more by visiting Academics.
