Welcome from the Director

I hope that you will explore our web site and learn more about Blake’s extraordinary learning community. From prekindergarten through twelfth grade, Blake students contribute to the life of the School in a variety of areas including the arts, athletics, service learning and world citizenship.

Beginning with our exceptional PK and early childhood programs, Blake’s learning and teaching philosophy comes alive as talented faculty members guide students on a journey of engagement with, and mastery of, new concepts and subjects. Our 9:1 student-adult ratio fosters the sharing of ideas, and ensures that each student receives what they need to thrive – in the classroom, in art studios and labs, on the stage and on our athletic fields. The School’s nationally renowned College Counseling staff shepherds each Blake senior toward her/his best college or university match, and our Alumni demonstrate outstanding leadership, achievement and influence in their chosen fields and/or in their community activities. Read more about what distinguishes Blake from other schools.

Blake seeks and supports students whose ability and promise suggest they will thrive in the School’s challenging academic environment. We admit students who like to wonder and ask questions, who appreciate diversity, and who will be comfortable taking risks while pursuing their passions and talents.

While our web site is a great source of information, the best way to get to know Blake is to visit us. Please call us to schedule a personal campus tour. To receive more information, click on "Request Information" to the right and an admissions representative will contact you.

There are many school-choice options available to families in the Twin Cities. As a proud Blake parent, I see first-hand how deeply Blake cares for each and every one of our students. On behalf of the admissions team, thank you for your interest in Blake – I welcome the opportunity to greet you.
