Financial Aid
|
If you're like many individuals interested in providing their children a quality education, one question is especially significant: Can I afford it? Blake's outstanding financial aid program ensures that, in many cases, the answer is yes. Blake's financial aid program is one of the largest among independent schools in the Midwest.
Our commitment to economic diversity is supported by one of the largest independent school financial aid programs in the Midwest. In fact, during the last decade, our financial aid budget doubled, at a rate faster than that of our overall operating budget. For the 2006-2007 school year, we awarded approximately 3 million in financial assistance.
All of our financial aid awards are based solely on demonstrated financial need, not on athletic, artistic or academic ability. And while we have a strong tradition of supporting families whose need is substantial, we carefully assess and support the needs of middle income families as well.
Surprised? Don't be. We believe that educational excellence stems from an exposure to a variety of socio-economic, racial, ethnic and geographic perspectives. Therefore, we go out of our way to ensure that talented students from all backgrounds have access to a Blake education.
In short, if you're interested in a Blake education, you can't afford not to have a confidential conversation with us. To learn more about Blake's financial aid opportunities, please contact Cheryl Boyd, director of financial aid, at 952-988-3420 or cboyd@blakeschool.org.
Please note that the Financial aid application deadline for the 2008-2009 school year is January 31, 2008.
