  • Blake Tops State National Merit Chart Again

For the third year in a row, Blake is proud to announce that the school has the highest per capita number (highest percentage of the senior class) of national merit semi-finalists of any school in the state. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation grants semifinalist status based on junior-year PSAT scores. Congratulations to the 11 members of Blake’s senior class who have just been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists and will now advance in the competition!

Join us for an evening with author Eula Biss when she speaks at The Blake School on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The event, which will be held on Blake’s Northrop campus in Minneapolis, is free and open to the public. Biss, whose second book, “Notes from No Man’s Land: American Essays,” received the Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award for criticism, will read from her essays and take audience questions.
