Bonus Suggestions:
1. Aliens: Invent an extraterrestrial creature adapted to live on another planet, with features made to adapt it to at least four facts about the planet. Draw the organism; describe the facts and the adaptations, which fit the facts.
2. Graph sunspots: Graph any 20-year sequence of sunspot data from Inquiry 8.3 in your book, to show the cycle of high and low periods of sunspot activity. Calculate the average number of years between peaks.
3. Planet Viewing: Use Starry Night software to find out which planets are currently visible in the evening sky. Make a chart telling when and where they can be seen. Then try to find some in the evening (or morning) sky, and report on what you found!
4. Analyze Tidal Data: Conduct Inquiry 16.1 (pages 246-252) in which you observe and analyze several pages of tide data. Follow directions and record your answers to questions asked. The graph is optional.
