Tiwolf Twister

by Adelaide and Samantha

Adelaide and Samantha's LEGO Dacta Project
In our ride, we have idler gearing. (it makes the ride go higher in the air.) We made a Ferris wheel, well a space Ferries wheel, it is really big. I wish that we could ride it. In person it looks really fun. We used 3 40-inch gears and an 8-tooth gear and a 24-inch gear and that made up our idler gearing, we had to lift up the motor to be as high as the ride. The motor turns the driver witch turns the idlers witch turns the follower witch turns the ride

We had a lot of challenges and we got through them, like not enough time we got really frustrated and it didn't work till the last day! We figured it out. We also ran into a problem that the motor would not work but it was just that one of the ports wouldn't work. Also the ride was so heavy that we couldn't get it to stay on its lift, and then when we got it to stay the motor wouldn't fit it the position that we put it in when we redid the plat form so we had to make it fit some how.

We really liked the project a lot and wished that we could do it again. It was so much fun! But we think that we could have used a lot more time, it would have helped a lot. We have so many LEGO'S on our Ferris wheel but it looks great. You have so many LEGOs to build with its crazy! Maybe we could have a little more time practicing with LEGOs we got stuck a lot, but we brainstormed and we figured it out with a little help.
