    Blake sophomore Kira Leadholm took first place at Minnesota’s National History Day event, earning a trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National History Day event this June. Classmate Korlekuor Akiti’s paper, “Sister Kenny: A Struggle Against Two Evils,” also earned honorable mention and a topical prize award.

    Blake is proud to announce Timothy (Natcher) Pruett, Christopher Chute and Daniel Weiser have been recently nominated to apply to become Presidential Scholars. 70 students in all were nominated for the program from Minnesota, from which two will be selected as winners in April.
