Standardized Testing Planner



This form is designed to help you plan your college testing program over the next three years of high school. Decisions about what tests to take and when to take these tests should be made in consultation with your Dean in grade 10 and with your College Counselor in grades 11 and 12.

Grade 10 Options:
PSAT October All Students.
SAT Subject Test   May, June Discuss with your Dean. American History, Math, Biology, or none.
Grade 11 Options:
PSAT October All Students.
SAT December or January   Recommended by Blake College Counseling prior to College Seminar Test Prep Course.
ACT February Used by some students to get a head start.
SAT March Usually takes place during first weekend of spring vacation.
ACT April Suggested first test date for juniors.
SAT May Suggested first test date for juniors, SAT Critical Reasoning recommended.
SAT June SAT Subject Test recommended, used for Chemistry, Math, or Foreign Language.

Grade 12 Options:
SAT October Last SAT date for first round of Early Decision candidates.
ACT October Last ACT date for first round of Early Decision candidates.
SAT November SAT Critical Reasoning or Subject Tests.
SAT December   Critical Reasoning or Subject Tests. Used as last SAT date.
